In-Depth Performance Analysis
Career Progress
Jordan Love began his NFL career as a back-up for MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, where he saw very limited gametime in the 2021 and 2022 season. After Rodgers departure in 2023, Love became the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, and after a few weeks in the position, he showed remarkable athleticism and intelligence on the field, which established him as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
Passing is the most important aspect of a QB, and Love has showed his great passing skills over the years. The following graph shows his passing yards per game since becoming a starter in the 2023 season:
In the 2023 NFL regular season, Jordan Love threw for 4,159 yards, with 466 more yards in the playoffs, for a grand total of 4,625 passing yards in the whole season, which is very impressive for a QB on his first year as a starter.

Jordan Love and the Packers would end up losing in the Divisional Round against the San Francisco 49ers, but showing the country that the Packers have a new undisputed QB1, as well as an elite QB in the NFL.
In the 2024 NFL regular season, Love got injured at the end of the week 1 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, which made him miss week 2 and week 3 games. In week 4 he came back as a starter against the Minnesota Vikings, where he threw a career-high 389 yards. After a lot of ups-and-downs, Love would end up playing 15 games of the regular season, throwing for 3,389 yards and 25 TDs, unfortunately losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round.

It is important to note that Love played 2 games less in 2024 due to injury, but it is slightly concerning to see so many stats decreasing, which raises an important question: what happened?
Even though Love did not play as well as he did in 2023, the Packers started running a different offense in 2024, more specifically a more run-heavy offense thanks to their new signing: RB Josh Jacobs.
In the 2023 regular season, the Packers used a combination of RB Aaron Jones and RB AJ Dillon for their run game, getting a total of 1,269 rushing yards on 320 carries between the two. In comparison, on the 2024 regular season, Josh Jacobs alone ran for 1,329 yards on 301 carries, which could explain part of why Love had less passing attempts.
* Honorable mention to RB Emanuel Wilson, who got 502 rushing yards on 103 carries while being Jacobs' backup.
This can also explain why Love had such a dramatic decrease in rushing yards (-62.7%) and rushing TDs (-75%), in other words, there was simply no reason for Love to run the ball when Jacobs and Wilson were getting such good carries. The following graph shows his rushing stats per game:

Another significant decrease to mention: Touchdowns. In the 2023 regular season, Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon combined for a total of 5 TDs (Rec + Rush), with Jordan Love commanding the Packers with 36 TDs (Pass + Rush). In the 2024 regular season, Josh Jacobs accumulated 16 TDs (Rec + Rush), which is triple the amount from what the 2023 RB duo got (220% increase), but Jordan Love would still command the Packers with 26 TDs (Pass + Rush), a 27.8% decrease from the past season.
Aside from Love, most of the Packers' offense saw a decrease in TDs, including WR Romeo Doubs, WR Christian Watson, WR Jayden Reed and WR Bo Melton. On the other hand, TE Tucker Kraft was the only receiver who saw a significant raise in TDs (2 -> 7), further proving the point that most of the Packers' TDs are being diverted to Jacobs.
Predictions for 2025
Stats in the NFL are very unpredictable because there are too many factors that can affect how a player performs (tactics, injuries, schedule, coaching, etc.), but in pure mathematical terms, Jordan Love should get the following stats in the 2025 regular season, assuming he plays all 17 games:
